I was born in 1966 in Nigde. After completing my primary and secondary education in Nigde and my high school education in Kuleli Military High School, I began to study medicine at Gulhane Military Medical Academy (GATA), Faculty of Medicine in 1984.

In 1990, I was awarded the title of Medical Doctor. I worked as a general practitioner in Erzurum between 1991 and 993. In 1993, I started to work as an assistant at Gulhane Military Medical Academy (GATA), Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery; and in 1997, I was awarded the title of Plastic Surgery Specialist. After working as a specialist physician in Corlu-Tekirdag between 1998 and 2001, I started my academic career in 2001, as an Assistant Professor at Gulhane Military Medical Academy (GATA), Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery. Between 2003 and 2004, I participated in research and clinical studies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas for a period of 12 months. In March-2006 I was awarded the title of University’s Associate Professor. In the meantime, I published many scientific articles, among which more than 50 were international publications. My interests are aesthetic medicine (surgical and non-surgical procedures intended for the nose, eyelids, face, breasts, abdomen etc.), male genital organ surgery, cancer surgery, and hand and burn surgery.
