In short
A breast lift (mastopexy) raises sagging breasts by removing excess skin and reshaping the breast tissue. The nipple is moved up and the areola reduced if needed. It takes 1.5–3.5 hours under general anaesthesia. If volume is low, an implant can be added in the same operation. No procedure can stop the effect of gravity permanently.

Who is it for?
Women whose breasts have lost shape and dropped after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss or ageing. Your weight should be stable and breastfeeding finished for at least 6 months.
How is it performed?
Depending on the degree of sagging, incisions are made around the areola, vertically down from it and sometimes in the breast fold. The breast tissue is lifted and reshaped, and the nipple is moved to a higher position.
Recovery and permanence
A support bra is worn for 3–4 weeks. Results are long-lasting, but weight change, pregnancy and age can cause the breasts to drop again.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an implant with a breast lift?
Only if you also want more volume or upper fullness.
Where are the scars?
Around the areola, vertically below it and, in some cases, in the breast fold.
Can I breastfeed after a lift?
Most women can, because the glands remain connected to the nipple.
Should I wait until I have finished having children?
Ideally yes, as pregnancy can change the result.
Is a breast lift painful?
Pain is usually mild to moderate and controlled with painkillers.
Can it be combined with a tummy tuck?
Yes. This combination is often called a 'mommy makeover'.
How long should I stay in Ankara?
About 7–10 days.
When can I exercise?
Heavy sport after about a month.
When will I see the final result?
The shape settles over 3–6 months.
Can I lift my breasts after major weight loss?
Yes, once your weight has been stable for 6 months.
